Rotterdam Letter of Recommendation Example – 1
- How long have you known the candidate? In which context?
I have known Ronit for the last 2.5 years as his direct supervisor.
- What do you consider to be the candidate’s most noteworthy qualities?
Ronit is a proactive professional who is always willing to take on challenges. He is also a creative thinker who is always looking for ways to improve processes. For example, he came up with a technically feasible proposal to automate the fire hydrant pumping system at our plant, which saved us money on manpower costs.
- What are the areas in which you believe the candidate needs to improve?
Ronit sometimes jumps to conclusions without fully considering all the options. However, he is always willing to learn from his mistakes and improve. For example, when he proposed using the ROIP system to establish communication between our newly opened and old block of mine, I felt it was not the best solution. I told him to take more time to research the issue and he came back with a better solution.
- Please comment on the candidate’s potential for management. Describe an occasion in which you observed the candidate in a leadership role.
Ronit has high potential for management. He is currently handling a team of 7 people and is doing a great job. He is also a natural leader who is able to motivate and inspire his team. For example, even before he started working with us, he came up with the idea to change the oil filter line in the power plant, which led to a decrease in the number of unit tripping.
Overall, I believe Ronit is a highly skilled and motivated individual with a bright future in management. I highly recommend him for the position.
